M3DLoC will be present at JEC World – 09-11 March 2021

M3DLoC Partner NTUA (R-NanoLab) will be an exhibitor in JEC World, the largest composites-focused trade show, JEC World 2021 held on 9-11 March 2021 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre in Paris, France.

The National Technical University of Athens establishes a 3D printing hub to fight the pandemic

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), one of M3DLoC Partners, has established the 3DP-NTUA Hub, to work on the preparation of face shields and other consumables, in order to support the healthcare workers in Greece, in collaboration with dedicated Covid-19 Hospitals, during the difficult fight against the pandemic. M3DLoC Project Meeting – 22 January 2020, Brussels, Belgium.

The M3DLoC Project had its 24-month review meeting on the 22nd of January 2020, at the Research and Innovation Directorate in the European Commission in Brussels. 34 participants from the 18 Partner organisations, along with Project Officer, Dr George Kosikos, attended this meeting.

Partners gave an overview of the achieved results in each work package and showed their presentations for the Project Open Day the next day, for approval from the consortium.

M3DLoC present at the Advanced Materials for Additive Manufacturing (AMAM) meeting – Cambridge, UK

M3DLoC was present at the Advanced Materials for Additive Manufacturing –AMAM– consortium meeting (joined to the Nano-Carbon Enhanced Materials –NCEM- consortium meeting) on the 10th and 11th July 2019 at Wolfson College, Cambridge.

This consortium is run by Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd, one of the M3DLoC partners who is in charge of Exploitation and Dissemination. The aim of this consortium is to provide their members a unique insight into use of advanced materials in additive manufacturing, development of additive manufacturing technologies for various applications, and to facilitate the commercial uptake and bring together potential users with a shared interest to address commercialisation challenges.

Project Coordinator, Professor Costas A. Charitidis from NTUA and Dr Elias P. Koumoulos from IRES gave talks at this meeting. The M3DLoC poster and leaflets were also at display during the event.

 

M3DLoC Project Meeting –4-5 July 2019, Limerick, Ireland.

University of Limerick (UL) hosted the M18 meeting of the M3DLoC project on the 4th and 5th July, with delegates from all 18 partners organisations attending. This was an opportunity for the M3DLoC partners to meet the new Project Officer (Dr George Kosikos) and Project Monitor (Dr Maddalena Rostagno).

Joanneum Research Health was welcomed as the new partner for the project. Dr Hajnsek presented an overview of  the work carried out by the Institute and their relevance to the project. All participants also had the opportunity to visit the bio and materials labs at the University.

After a long day where partners gave an overview of the achieved results in each work package, delegates were invited to a dinner at the Limerick Strand Hotel hosted by University of Limerick.

 

M3DLoC project team present at the EuroNanoForum 2019 – Bucharest 12-14 June 2019

Members from the M3DLoC team from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Innovation in Research & Engineering Solutions (IRES) and Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd. (CNT), were present at the EuroNanoForum 2019 which took place on June 12-14, 2019 in Bucharest, Romania.

EuroNanoForum 2019, Europe is a networking conference focusing on nanotechnologies and advanced materials science, innovation and businesses. This conference is taking place on June 12-14, 2019 at the second largest administrative building in the world, Palace of Parliament, Bucharest, Romania.
